Tortoise Reading Glasses

Could prescription lenses be installed in reading glasses?

I am interested in buying a pair of reading glasses to use as regular everyday glasses. I would need the old lenses taken out and new ones with my prescription installed. Is this possible?

Also, would it be possible to install in any kind of glasses like these? I mean, acrylic or plastic frames--- is this fairly easy for the optician to do?

If it is a standard plastic material then yes, this can be done at most opticians.
