Buy contact lenses to improve your vision and appearance. Contact lenses information plus tips and tricks on where to buy contact lenses on or off line.

Hey I can dig it...teenagers are teenagers and there is usually something that's hip and cool to be a part of. How about contacts? Not just any eye sight improving contacts but ones that will enhance your appearance. So, buy contact lenses to make you look better? That's it!

Okay, if you are going to buy contact lenses then to be part of the in crowd you need to buy color contact lenses. But to our teenage community reading this; do you know how to buy contact lenses. There is so much available out there today. So let's look at a few pointers.

How To Buy Contact Lenses

Tip #1.. Look for the best value for your money, not only at the price – there are many contact lenses which are more popular than other brands because they have better follow up service, better customer service and better promotional offers. Look not only at the price (even if you are on a tight budget), but also at the things you get while buying certain brands in the market.

Tip #2.. Be well informed about the pros and cons of the leading brands – check out the information available on the Net and speak with your doctor and maybe a few specialists before you settle on the brand and type that would best suit you. Do not be in a hurry here, as a wrong decision could be really dangerous.

Tip #3.. Go only for leading brands – the low cost that other brands offer will always be tempting. However, the eyes are not really organs that you can experimented with.

Tip #4.. There are many instances when cheap brands caused complications. Do not risk your eyes for saving a few dollars – it is not worth it. You should always look at the brand and quality of the lens, and not from which outlet you are buying it. The service and assurance of quality comes with the brand and not with the shop

Tip #5.. Shop around for the best choice – you can (as per the law) copy your prescription and go to other places to buy contact lenses or any eye wear. Use this opportunity to look around and choose the best brand for your needs.

Good Vision Is Important

I cannot stress enough on the importance of having a good quality contact lens. Any deviation that a cheaper version may give you can cause a number of complications that would prove much costlier for you and sometimes cause irreversible damage to your eyes.

Do not take any chances when it comes to your eyes. Buy the best and buy the safest brand available.

Again, being vigilant in your purchase is vital. I'm not endorsing that you buy contact lenses just because it's the fashionable thing to do. But what I do want you to consider is at least visiting your doctor or seeing an eye specialist to either get some solid medical advice or further information about the use of contact.

Has anyone tried Acuvue Bifocal disposable contact lenses?

I love not having to mess with reading glasses and was thrilled when I found these bifocal contacts although I am having some problems with them. They sometimes get stuck up inside my eyelid and it is difficult to get them out. Also, they don't seem to last very long at all. Anyone had similar problems or having better luck with a different brand?

-Your lenses do not last long enough
-Your lens gets stuck
These are both symptoms of dryness. You should use a rewetting drop after half a day (while the lens is in your eye). Drops available over the counter are "Blink contacts", "Refresh Contacts" and several other preparations.
Also, at the time of removal, we pull too hard on dry, stuck lens and damage it. Best is to put a drop of rewetting solution over your lens, massage over the lid with closed eye, then open the eye and remove the lens.

Do you remember when contacts first came out? They used to be hard, thick material that was almost as uncomfortable as wearing glasses. Well we still have hard contact lenses. There are several reasons you might elect to wear a hard contact especially since they are more comfortable than the original ones. Most individuals elect to wear soft contact lenses because they are more comfortable than hard contacts. Lets look at the differences so you can understand about hard contact lenses.

First you will find a more rewarding contact lens when you choose hard contact lenses. You eye will conform to the contact better and will keep your eye muscles from deteriorating. Most who wear soft contacts experience a slowing down in their prescription changes because the eye conforms to the contact lens, but soft contacts still move around in your eye rather than staying in place.

The material of the hard contact lens is a higher quality. You will not be able to tear these lenses because they are typically made of a glass material rather than plastic. Also these contact are more rigid. Thus you can't lose one in your eye or have it fall out. Have you ever accidentally rubbed your eye with your contact in and had it fold up on you? You probably had tears streaming your face as well as pain in your eye. With hard contact lenses you will never have to experience this. Another great thing about hard contact lenses is the ability to let moisture remain in your eye. Often soft contact lenses reduce the moisture your eye produces because you are constantly blinking to keep the contact in place. Hard contacts are better for those working outdoors with wind and heat because your eye will stay moisturized.

Hard contact lenses are also prescribed for those who have Presbyopia and other eye problems because they help keep the muscle strength you have left. Often those who need bifocal contact lenses will elect the hard contact lenses because they will sit in the eye better and help clear up their site without having to give up contact lenses for glasses.

Hard contacts require a long adjustment period especially if you have never worn contacts before. They can seem thick and gritty causing your eyes to feel a little tired. It may even feel like your allergies are acting up. This will go away after a few days of wearing the hard contact lenses. Remember if the hard contact lenses are too uncomfortable you can always go back to soft contact lenses or glasses. You other option is eye surgery.

Sight is one of the most important senses. You just canÂ’t imagine living with blurred vision or in complete darkness. Once vision is affected regardless of the cause, it may make oneÂ’s life a bit difficult to perform everyday tasks even in broad daylight.

A simple case of blurred vision can be easily corrected. Eyeglasses were invented to help anyone suffering from it. When contact lenses were introduced, many switched to try the promised benefit of contact lenses. Today contact lenses have become trendier than before. The old contact lenses were not colored but now you can see more color contact lenses available.

Color contact lenses enhance the eyes of the wearer and at the same time provide corrective function to the eyes. Contact lenses may also be used for various purposes. Some do not even have corrective function and are used merely for fun.

Contact lenses have different tints that serve different purpose. The blue or the green color contact lenses are specifically for ease of insertion or removal; because of its light tint, it can be identified easily unlike the colorless contact lenses which are difficult to place above the cornea.

Deep tinted color contact lenses are primarily for eye color enhancement. For those avid color contact lenses wearers, this will suit their eyes to really look very blue or green. One thing that is really annoying about deep tinted color contact lenses is when it slips from its place, it can block the vision of the wearer which might become cumbersome and dangerous. Instead of helping to facilitate better vision, it would do otherwise.

Other tinted color contact lenses are the opaque contact lenses. This type of color contact lenses while correcting vision problem changes the existing eye color as well. So if you want to sport violet eyes today and don a pair of turquoise contact lenses the next day, the opaque contact lenses are just the right one for you.

Color contact lenses, like the colorless, are prescribed by eye care specialist or your optometrist. They canÂ’t be worn without the doctorÂ’s advice. This is to make sure that the contact lenses you are about to wear just fit your eyesÂ’ vision requirement. The doctor can also give you suggestions in using and maintaining your contact lenses.

Color contact lenses are available from Johnson and Johnson, Wesley Jessen, Bausch and Lomb, and CIBA Vision. These brands are sold among eye care specialist and eye specialty shops. Different brands are priced competitively; before buying one, compare prices and service warranty.

Whether you're buying contact lenses for vision enhancement or you want to simply create a fresh look, then you've come to the right page!

g thing. From a vision point of view, there aren't too many people who can get away with some form of vision deterioration.

Presbyopis comes into play as you near 40 and beyond. The frustrating part is trying to read a newspaper first thing in the morning but having to sit back from it because you can't focus on the small print. It might be time you invested in the bifocal contact lens. In fact, it might be time to pay your doctor a visit and get an eye assessment.

Seeing Better With The Bifocal Contact Lens

When your eyesight needs help with reading at close range, you will go for glasses. However, because you can see at a distance, you might not require glasses for far sight. In order to make it viable for both times, the bifocals were invented. These glasses were initially extremely unsightly, not to mention that it took a quite considerable time to get adjusted to wearing them without getting head reeling because of continuous focus change.

Both the issue of cosmetics and the constant eye re-adjusting are done with when you choose to use the bifocal contact lens. The moment you put them on, you can read easily and also see far away with the comfort and ease of a normal sighted person. It is as if someone waved a magic wand and removed all your problems with the flick of the wrist.

The only downside is that it may take sometime to get which is one fits you the best, but with the advancing technology and continuous research done in this field, methods are being discovered every day to make the switchover easier and faster.

Time To Visit Your Doctor

Even if you have the prescription for bifocal glasses, you will still need to consult a specialist before using bifocal contact lens. This is important because a mismatch can create some slight discomfort and may be damaging to your eye sight.

The bifocals are most often used by the elder population who do not enjoy wearing glasses for some reason or another. The bifocal contact lens is actually a lovely way to make them feel good and comfortable with themselves as their age progresses.

Bifocal Lens Positives

This is a definite positive particularly for those who lead an active post-retirement life and find that the glasses not only make them look old, but also greatly hinder their activities. These lenses can change all of that and you simply cannot put a price on life improvement. This is a great option for those who are tired of wearing glasses and want a change.

So, from our perspective, the bifocal contact lens has helped in the area of newspaper reading. Hey. I'm a professional broadcaster and I need to stay abreast of what's happening around the world and in my community. And the best part is, no more eye sight jokes from my better half.

Do yourself a favor; if you are like me and thousands of others who are not getting the proper focus and clarity with your eye sight, please, visit your doctor.

I hear they are weighted . I don't want to try the type where one eye in for close and one for far. I have always had contacts but now need bifocals and these glasses drive me nuts.

Soft bifocal contacts are not weighted. They usually use concentric circles of your distance and near prescription. All of them compromise your distance vision some. As a long time contact lens wearer, you are a better candidate than someone who has never worn before.

What can optical laser treatment do for me?

I'm 80, and hate wearing glasses. I need different ones for driving and TV, and for reading small print. Glasses make my eyes so sore they come out on stalks.

I don't know the difference between what the shape of the eye makes as opposed to the loss of accommodation that the lens now has. What is the difference, please? Can laser treament realistically help me?
My prescription is :-
Right, sph+2.00 CYL,-1.00 Axis90 Nr. Add 2.25
Left, sph +1.75 CYL,-0.75 Axis85 Nr. Add +2.25

There is a new procedure called a refractive lensectomy. This involves first, removing the lens and inputting a lenses that can accommodate near and far. That will take care of that Add +2.25 on both eyes. Then you can have lasik on top of that and this will correct the sphere, cylinder and axis. This procedure has been around about 4 years. Two draw backs are a) it can cost anywhere between 7 and 11 thousand dollars, and b) you are far sighted which has shown to not be as easy as nearsighted correction. A cheaper alternative would be bifocal contact lenses, or no-line bifocal lenses.

I have no idea. A friend has saved 60% on regular contacts as a member of 2020Vision4Less, maybe you can save similar amount. He saved that through their mail order.
