Backorders from Adorama?
I pre-ordered a new lens from Adorama and was told they would ship it as soon as they received the shipment. In various forums there have been other people that pre-ordered the same lens from Adorama and they have received e-mail confirmations of their orders being shipped out. I didn't receive an e-mail from Adorama nor does their online order status page state anything. I was too late to contact their customer service about it, but I did ask a salesperson and he said they didn't receive any shipment of the lens.
Anyway, I guess my question is if anybody had the same experience as this and how it went?
Was there an extended back order or what?

If there's a lot of backorders, those who ordered first will be the first to get their shipments sent out. You only need to worry if people who ordered after you did begin to get their lens and you have no notification.
