I live in wv and I recently bought an sks and it came with a detachable 20 rd clip,folding stock and bayone?
I bought it from a licesensed firearms dealer ....my brother told me that it's a felony to have a bayonet and shoot with a bayonet on it? How can it be illegal if a federal firearms dealer sold it to me as it was? I made no mods to it so is it illegal or am I fine?
Your SKS is perfectly legal. It WAS illegal to purchase a firearm with those accessories after Bill Clinton passed the Assault Weapons Ban in 1994. Fortunately, during the Bush Administration that law expired and no longer exists. You can buy any of the firearms and detachable magazines that were previously banned. Tell your brother to look up the expiration of the federal assault weapons ban.
