Backorders from Adorama?

I pre-ordered a new lens from Adorama and was told they would ship it as soon as they received the shipment. In various forums there have been other people that pre-ordered the same lens from Adorama and they have received e-mail confirmations of their orders being shipped out. I didn't receive an e-mail from Adorama nor does their online order status page state anything. I was too late to contact their customer service about it, but I did ask a salesperson and he said they didn't receive any shipment of the lens.
Anyway, I guess my question is if anybody had the same experience as this and how it went?
Was there an extended back order or what?

If there's a lot of backorders, those who ordered first will be the first to get their shipments sent out. You only need to worry if people who ordered after you did begin to get their lens and you have no notification.

Can I wear other BC values for contact lenses?

I am trying to buy contact online and I do not know my BC measurements. On 1800 contacts, all of the daily disposables contacts has a BC value of 8.6! So does that mean it's one size fits all kind of thing?

No, they aren't a one size fits all...it's just that those lenses only come in one size. Which doesn't mean they will fit you.

Which is also why you can't just order lenses you don't have a prescription for.

The site will call your Dr. anyway to verify that you have a legal prescription for your order...

Is it true there are no nerve endings in the eyeball?

Obviously i am aware of the optic nerve, but i mean the actual surface of the eye. I have been told that there are no nerve endings here. If that's true, why does it hurt when i get a hair or piece of cr@p stuck behind my contact lens, or when i've had my lenses in too long?

Has anyone tried Acuvue Bifocal disposable contact lenses?

I love not having to mess with reading glasses and was thrilled when I found these bifocal contacts although I am having some problems with them. They sometimes get stuck up inside my eyelid and it is difficult to get them out. Also, they don't seem to last very long at all. Anyone had similar problems or having better luck with a different brand?

These are both symptoms of dryness. You should use a rewetting drop after half a day (while the lens is in your eye). Drops available over the counter are "Blink contacts", "Refresh Contacts" and several other preparations.
Also, at the time of removal, we pull too hard on dry, stuck lens and damage it. Best is to put a drop of rewetting solution over your lens, massage over the lid with closed eye, then open the eye and remove the lens.
